Mobile v2 (GA)

• Released: January 16th, 2023
• Mobile v2.0 is an update to the existing app (no migration is required)
• We will offer mobile ESR (v1.55) supported until July 2023, that will receive security updates only, available as unsigned builds on our GitHub page.
• Mobile v2.0 has no breaking changes
• Monthly releases, with v2.1 as expected in February 2023.

What happens to Mobile Beta testers?

Beta testers can continue to use the Mattermost Beta app to get the latest mobile feature updates ahead of the monthly production app releases. New beta testers can still opt-in with the instructions here to be on the cutting edge of new mobile development.

Alternatively, Beta testers may opt to use the Mattermost production app that will be distributed in the App Store or Google Play Store.

Message Priority (v7.7)

• Indicate the priority of your message with visual flair in the form of a label

Acknowledgement (v7.7)

• Request acknowledgement to messages from select users or groups of users.
• Undo an acknowledgement within 5 minutes of acknowledging a message
• SKU: Provided in our “Professional” pricing plan

Global Drafts (v7.7)

• Global Drafts mean a new centralized location for draft messages in the LHS below Threads view
• This means easily finding and resuming existing message drafts
• Like threads, drafts are scoped to current active team
• Drafts are stored on the server and are thus saved and accessible on any client.

Persistent Notifications

Next: Persistent Notifications(v7.9)

• For Urgent messages only, optionally send persistent notifications every 5 minutes until the message is acknowledged, replied or reacted to.
• Configure settings for how often users are notified, how many notifications are sent and how many users get notified in total
• SKU: Provided in our “Professional” pricing plan
