About

The Food TechnologyStudy Program (PS-TP) is under the Faculty of Engineering and Science, National Development University “Veteran” East Java. The basis of establishment was based on the Rector's Decree No. SKEP/254/VII/1993 and ratified by the Joint Decree of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture and the Indonesian Minister of Defense and Security No. Kep/0307/U/1994 - 10/XI/1994 dated November 29, 1994. In 1995, PS-TP obtained registered status based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education Depdikbud No. 024/Dikti/Kep/1995.�

Based on BAN-PT Decree No.467/SK/BAN-PT/AK/S/II/2024, the Food Technology Study Program received Excellent Accreditation (valid from 20-Feb-2024 to 20-Feb-2029).

MISSION

  1. Conducting education and human resource development in the field of food technology and industry, fostering entrepreneurship, and upholding the values of state defense,
  2. Undertaking research, development, and the implementation of innovative food technology that meets the aspects of food safety and health using local resources as raw materials, while adhering to national and international quality standards,
  3. Engaging in community service through teaching, training, and disseminating research findings based on the knowledge of food technology, making the most of local resources, and
  4. Enhancing strategic collaboration between academia, the community, government, and the national as well as international food industry sector.

  • The profile of graduates of the Food Technology Study Program (FTSP) is a food technology scholar with noble character and high integrity high integrity who are competent in the field of food technology based on local local food of the Nusantara.
  • The FTSP degree program graduates of the UPNVJT can work in various food sectors, ranging from the food industry (small, medium, or large) to government agencies.
  • The work areas of FTSP graduates in the food industry are the areas of production, new product development, food quality assurance and control, regulation, warehousing, purchasing/procurement, marketing, and food processing machinery.
  • Among the fields of work in government agencies are the preparation of policies in food, supervision, and development/counseling of the food industry.
  • Graduates can also continue their education at the master's level or become entrepreneurs in the food sector.
