Food for Thought: All About Indian Food!
India is responsible for some of the ingredients and eating lifestyles used all around the world! For example, the idea for vegetarianism was born in India out of religious reasons and is practiced all around the world today. An extremely popular Indian dish is tandoori chicken, chicken cooked in a hot clay oven called a tandoor. Delicious breads like chapati, shaped like a pancake and made with special flour, also come from India. Another favorite Indian snack is Bhel Puri, made with puffed rice, crispy noodles, and potatoes and served with sweet, sour, and spicy sauces.
