PART 2:

TEAM MASCOT and SIGNATURE STADIUM FOOD!

2 of 5

What are your SIGNATURE STADIUM FOOD items??

“Take me out to the ball game, take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack, I don’t care if I never get back…..”

Goal: Identify a crowd pleasing, trademark food for your stadium! Draw or construct your food and don’t forget to add all of those YUMMY DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS!

Hints:

  • Part of going to the baseball field is the delicious ballpark foods! What do you want to be your signature/main dish to advertise for your stadium? Is it a hot dog, a dessert or an appetizer snack like nachos?
  • Draw your food dish large and up close: we want to see the YUMMY DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS!
  • Also don’t forget to add some FUN in your drawing! Is the food put in the helmet of your team? Is your team's logo on the plate or dish? Are there wacky ingredients put together?
  • After drawing and coloring, now let's think about the background. Is it displayed on a table or a fun placemat? Can you see the field in the background? Are your team's colors in the background?
  • Challenge: Can you make a food sculpture out of PLAYDOUGH??!!! Or even actually make it and take a photograph!

Design Your Mascot!

Goal: Congratulations! You are now the owner of a brand new team!! Design a unique, descriptive and fun mascot for your team!

  • A mascot is a person or thing that is supposed to bring good luck or that is used to symbolize a particular event or organization.

Hints:

  • Before you begin, you need to identify what the name of your team will be. This is important because your mascot will be a fun representative of your team.
  • Your mascot can either be an object that is just over the head or it can be an entire suit that is worn.
  • Example: If I owned a team called The Splats, I could have my mascot be a huge paint brush. AS giveaways, the paintbrush could throw tie dye shirts into the crowd and maybe even the baseball uniforms were tie dyed as well. Maybe also as fans to show support of the mascot and team, they can paint paint splatters on their face and arms.
  • Have fun!!!
