Managing Your MeetUp RSVP

2 of 3

MeetUp is used by the LPGA Amateurs St. Louis Chapter to communicate with our members about our upcoming golf events.

  • Each MeetUp event is managed by a designated host.
  • The host is responsible for securing tee times with the golf course based on the number of participants who have responded Yes to the event.
  • Each member uses their account in the MeetUp app or website to RSVP to a chapter event.
  • MeetUp is used by the host to communicate with participants about the status of the event, assigned foursomes and tee times.

Please manage your MeetUP RSVP responsibly.

    • Golf Course managers are managing a business and must have confidence that customers (us) will honor the commitment to fill the tee times booked.

    • If you RSVP “Yes” for an event and you can’t attend, please change your RSVP to “No” ASAP, preferably no later than three days prior to the event date.
      • This opens your unused slot to other members on the event “wait list.”
      • This lets the host know you will not be attending so she can release unused tee times back to the golf course to sell.

    • If you say you will be attending an event and don’t show up or cancel at the last minute, the unfilled slot becomes a cost to the golf course that could have been sold to other golfers.
      • This becomes a “black-eye” to the LPGA Amateurs St. Louis Chapter and to the event host with the golf course managers. Future events at the golf course may become harder to secure ample tee times for our chapter.
