How do I get started?

Club/Union needs to decide the following:

  • What spot do you want to utilize
  • How much of a budget do you have to recruit
  • What medium you want to use OTT/CTV (streaming), cable, or broadcast
  • Decide which months are the best time to get new recruits out

Quick Hints:

  • Cheapest to Most expensive OTT/CTV < cable < broadcast
  • OTT/CTV will take a budget and utilize it in a bid process
  • Market size will affect budget flexibility. The smaller the market the cheaper the price
  • You may want to get some pricing to decide budget

Contacts:

  • With cable or broadcast, call the local office and tell them you are looking for a local Account Executive
  • For OTT/CTV, I will provide the top 5 with contact number

Helpful Hints on Buying

Suggestions for buying:

  • You want programming that is strong in Demographic of Adult 18-40
  • Request rugby (NBC Six Nations was not expensive)
  • Sports is a great focus, don’t forget those watching non-traditional college sports are great
  • Football will be expensive

Next steps:

  • For broadcast or cable you will be able to add a tag at the end. This is where you can add your club or union logo and contact information. There is a nominal charge for that
  • Select your placement
  • Media does require payment in advance
  • You are set. I would recommend sharing on social too!
