French artist born in 1869

  • Matisse was going to be a lawyer, but he got sick and started to paint while he was recovering.
  • He was great friends with Pablo Picasso
  • People called Matisse and other artists, Les Fauves, which means wild beast in French.
  • Created the Art Movement Fauvism

Spring time Flower Still Life

Step 1:

  • Start by drawing simple flowers on half of your sheet.
  • Use the other half to create your Vase!
  • After you draw them, outline with a black Stick Stix!

  • Paint your Vase!

  • Cut out your vase + flowers
  • Glue them onto your background paper.
