JCPS Staff

Kickup Learning will be used for the 2025-2026 school year for professional development events, self-paced learning, attendance, CEUs, and feedback.

Logging In

  • Go to https://pulse.kickup.co/ and then select continue with Google. Once you select continue with Google, your welcome dashboard will appear. You can also access it using the Kickup Learning app on Classlink.

Logging In For New Hires

  • Any new hires that do not have a Johnston County email will be able to use this link to register and view events prior to receiving their Johnston County email. Once they have a Johnston County email then their accounts will be merged.
  • If you are a new hire and recently received your JCPS email, but can not log into the system, please use this link and register with your JCPS email.

Browse Options and Features

On the browse screen:

Find by collection- For the 2025-2026 year, in-district and out-of-district professional development offerings are grouped by content area collections. From the content area collection, they can then be filtered by month.

Find a specific PD-type pd name in the search bar; select date on the calendar to the right.

Search feature on calendar- to help narrow your search use the before and after on the calendar when searching.

Search Events or Self-Paced-must select when searching; KickUp keeps the two separate.

  • Click on the browse events button and at the top are events or self-paced tabs.

  • In the collection on the right hand-side is a button for self-paced courses. Click on the self-paced button and it will show all asynchronous sessions.
  • Asynchronous information will be linked closer to the August BOY workdays.

Pre-Registration

Participants must pre-register for all professional development events during the 2025-2026 school year.

BOY workday schedules will be sent out by email in July for participants to pre-register for all BOY workday events.

Pre-registration also helps with securing enough space for the professional development and allows facilitators to share important information via announcements that are sent directly to your email.

Pre-Registration

To pre-register- use the browse features to find your desired event.

Select the event you wish to register for and click the register button. This will also give you the option to add it to your Google Calendar and will send you an email confirming your registration. Reminder emails are sent closer to the event.

Cancel Registration

To cancel a registration, select your desired event and click on the registered button. It will cancel your registration for the event.

Confirm Attendance

Attendance can be confirmed by participants in two ways.

At the end of each session, facilitators will provide you with an attendance code or QR code.

To confirm attendance with the attendance code, you will select actions from your learning home page and then confirm attendance.

At the end of each session, facilitators will provide you with an attendance code or QR code.

To confirm attendance with the QR code, you will scan the QR code. The KickUp website will appear and you will select login in with Google and your attendance will be confirmed.

Feedback

When you select confirm attendance, a feedback button will appear to prompt you to fill out the feedback form. This needs to be done for every professional development session. When facilitators view the feedback, the comments and ratings are anonymous.

New Employees

When an employee transfers from another county, they should submit their credits/official transcript. They will need to request an official transcript from the previous school district licensure office and then email it to Janelle Bishop for processing. Transcripts/CEUs do not transfer from district to district automatically.

View Learning Log, Certificates, and Transcript

  1. From the KickUp Learning homepage, click “Your Log”
  2. Scroll to view your records. You can filter your log or search for a particular event.
  3. If you click on the title of the event, you can view the event’s details.
  4. A green check mark in the “Confirmed” column indicates that you’ve successfully confirmed your attendance for a given event.
  5. NOTE: If you are looking for Attendance Records from a previous academic year, change the year in the “Filter by year” dropdown.

CEUs from LINQ will be transferred over into KickUp in July.

3. To print individual event certificates, view the “Certificate” column next to the learning opportunity name, then click on the “Download” button. A popup window will appear on screen; click on the blue “Download” button to download the pdf.

4. To print your transcript , click on the “Actions” button on the right side of the attendance table, and click “Printable transcript.” From here, you can print the transcript by right-clicking your mouse and selecting the “Print” option. To send transcripts to other districts it will still have to be signed by our Director of Licensure Letitia Lee.

*The transcript information will correspond to what is selected for the “Year” filter.

Out of District CEU Submission

Prior approval is not required in KickUp to submit your CEUs. Please fill out your CEU submission when you have your certificate of completion after the event.

Prior approval is required if you are seeking reimbursement for your out-of-district event. If you are seeking reimbursement for an out-of-district event using Title II funding, please follow the directions on how to have your reimbursement processed through the finance department.

  1. Creating a Submission

From Your Log, you'll also see a "New Event Request" button.

Once you have created a submission, you can access it at any time by visiting your Events Log and browsing the top section called “Submitted Out of District Events

2. Filling out the Form

Once you’ve arrived at the submission form page, fill out the basic details about your event. Note that the following fields are required:

  • Event Name
  • Event Description
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Total Event Length

*You do not need to enter tags for anything*

The submission notes and reimbursement fields do not need to be filled out. If you are seeking reimbursement for an out-of-district event using Title II funding, please follow the directions on how to have your reimbursement processed through the finance department.

Once you click submit, it will take you to a page that will allow you to upload files. Please upload your certificate of completion to finalize your submission.

3. Adding Files and Documentation

Please upload your certificate of completion.

Click the button marked “Upload Files” and follow the instructions to add one or more files. Once you’ve uploaded a file, it will appear in the activity stream at the bottom of the event page where you and your district administrators are able to view and download any files submitted for that event.

Out of District CEU Submission

4. Approval

When you are finished with your submission, Janelle Bishop will be notified via email and will review your submission, add comments if needed, and will change the status from "Pending" to "Approved" to apply the credit to your transcript. Note: You will receive an email to notify you of changes made to your request.
