5 of 19

Successes: Image Rating (Y6-Y10)

  • 1st for three consecutive years (Y7-Y9)
  • Our main priority during these years, high P/Q Rating along with excellent Corporate Citizenship and Social Responsibility
  • Even with cutting costs in Y10, still was 2nd highest

Successes: Stock Price (Yrs 6-10)

  • After cutting costs in Y10, was in 1st place, so it certainly worked in that year
  • Came from high ROE, great Credit Rating, lots of dividends purchased, and putting out a high quality and recognizable brand that became valuable because of those very reasons

Successes: Net Profit (Y6-Y10)

  • Came as a result of high net revenues for both cameras & drones, efficient spending in every avenue, which therefore resulted in unnecessary expenditures allowing for higher Net Profit
  • 1st in Year 10
  • Top 3 in this entire span Y6-Y10

Where We Went Wrong

  • In Y10, cut costs, such as costs towards Image Rating, and interest & admin expenses to benefit our overall Net Profit
  • Helped us in short term (1st for back to back years in Net Profit)
  • Hurt us in the Long Term

Challenges: Image Rating (Y11-Y14)

  • Cutting P/Q Rating and Costs Toward Social Responsibility in Year 10 (To increase Net Profit)
  • Cutting Costs in Year 10, Image Rating Dropped 22 (92 to 70)
  • Couldn’t make up the ground we lost by cutting costs in 1st place
  • Tied for last in Y13-Y14

Challenges: Stock Price (Y11-Y14)

  • Reached 1st place in Y11, but dropped $26.19 from Y11-13
  • Came from short term cost cutting toward quality and our overall expenses, then ended up hurting us long term in ROE and our overall brand becoming worse in quality
  • Had an almost $100 increase in Y14 (major increase in ROE), makes our future promising

Challenges: Net Profit (Y11-Y14)

  • Due to cutting costs in Y10, reached 1st place in back to back years (Y10-Y11)
  • Hit 6th place in Y13 with drop, due to Net Revenues no longer being as high (due to inferior product)
  • Increased $62,130 in Y14, another promising statistic for the future

What We Learned

  • Overlooking long term gains for success in the short term is not always the best idea, instant gratification can be misleading
  • Patience is paramount in any business related decisions
  • Learning from any challenge is important, making plans to make up for those challenges and getting better is even more important

Our Future…

  • Our year 14 financial performance indicates a strong recovery from our financial downturn in years 11-13
  • We would focus back on what our made us great in the first place, our strategy is something we should and would stick by
  • Learning from our mistakes will just make us better in the future and in the long term
