Athletic programs give students a positive outlet, they recruit more students to the school, and they increase academic achievement.

  • Creating a vision for everyone to be able to feeling equal at mckinley senior high while building school pride.
  • Opening eyes of the mckinley community get to listen to teens about how they feel the School should make changes.

Many student athletes receive academic scholarships for college. If students or others weren’t participating in sports maybe they wouldn’t have cared as much about school or gotten scholarships. Then there are academic requirements that all student athletes are held to such as a 2.5

Research Design

  • My research method consisted of surveys .
  • I got 50 results on my surveys.
  • My surveys were open to the public for people all students that are ages thirteen and older.
  • The surveys were open to students of all grade levels because I wanted a variety of answers based on diversity.
  • All responders were between the ages 13-17

This rally achieved my purpose because as a whole we came together showing our school spirit with the entire student body and and administration.

In my vision I want to get the school to not just notice some of the teams we have at the school but make everyone feel accepted at our school.
