Why are we making this presentation ?

  1. The issues we face on a daily basis

2. The improvement we hope we can see in the near future

3. The things we desire that other KAU faculties have

4. Make FCIT and students of FCIT reach new heights

Before we begin

DO YOU KNOW WHEN WAS THE FCIT BUILDING WAS ESTABLISHED ?

2005

What do other students believe ?

  • My first impression on the FCIT building
  • We then asked other FCIT students … This

survey was sent to hundreds of FCIT students

Some of their sayings …

  • “There is no cafeteria here and we are getting hungry and thirsty!!!!!! “
  • “Because the location of it is full of road bumps and if in a hurry it will damage my car “
  • “The building so far away from campus.”
  • “Yes cuz the building is too old”
  • “There is a rat in the student’s lounge”
  • “Old labs, toilets are almost destroyed, no place for quiet studying.”

We asked them to explain why :

Main issues we face

  1. No food or drinks services
  2. Location of the building
  3. Parking problem
  4. Small building space
  5. Lack on connectivity between services like the library
  6. Covid protocol issues
  7. Asthetic of the building

Short-term Solutions we propose

  • Basic improvements to the FCIT building
  • Installing vending machines and establishing cafeterias
  • Connecting the FCIT building with the green scooter system
  • Improving labs and lecture rooms
  • Putting some STOP signs outside the building parking

THE ONLY LONG TERM SOLUTION

We urgently need a new building that is :

  1. Closer to the main campous
  2. Has better parking
  3. Connection to food chains
  4. Connection to other faculties and

KAU library

WE HOPE TO SEE IT SOON …
