3. How do you think these terms are relevant to our topic today?
1. What mathematical terms were formed?
2. Was it easy or difficult to form these words? Why?
Presenting Examples/Instances of the New Lesson (10 minutes)
3. Appreciate the importance of undefined terms in real-life scenarios.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Describe a point, line, ray, line segment, angle, and plane using models and geometric notations.
2. Illustrate a point, line, ray, line segment, angle, and plane using models and geometric notations.
Undefined terms in geometry (point, line, plane) form the foundation for defining other geometric concepts.
2. Unlocking Content Vocabulary
- is a location in space with no dimension, represented by a dot and labeled with a capital letter.
POINT
- is a straight path that extends infinitely in both directions, represented by a straight line with arrowheads on both ends and labeled with a lowercase letter or two points on the line.
LINE
- is a part of a line with one endpoint that extends infinitely in one direction, represented by a line with one arrowhead and labeled with the endpoint and another point on the ray.
RAY
is a part of a line with two endpoints, represented by a straight line without arrowheads and labeled with its endpoints.
LINE SEGMENT
- is formed by two rays sharing a common endpoint (vertex), represented by an arc, and labeled with three points or a single letter at the vertex.
ANGLE
-is a flat surface that extends infinitely in all directions, represented by a parallelogram or irregular quadrilateral and labeled with a single capital letter or three non-collinear points.

Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skills)- #2 Guided Practice (5 minutes)
Directions: Using the same groupings, a representative from each group will pick a letter and identify the undefined terms in each situation. They will then choose whether to keep the box or pass it to the other group.

Activity 4
Developing Mastery- Individual Activity/ Exercises (5 minutes)
Directions: Group volunteer learners will act out or pose as different geometric concepts and the other group will guess the concept and explain how they knew it.

Activity 5
Generalization (3 minutes)
What are the three primary undefined terms in geometry, and why are they considered undefined?
Evaluating/ Assessment (10 minutes)
A. Directions: Identify whether a point, line, and plane best describe in each of the following notations. Write the word Point if it is a point, Line if it is a line and Plane if it is a plane on the blank before the number.
___ 1. Floor of your classroom. ___ 6. pencil or pen lying on a table
___ 2. Corner of a room at the ceiling. ___ 7. surface of a table
___ 3. Tip of the ballpen. ___ 8. end of a pencil.
___4. Walls of the room. ___ 9. Page of your notebook.
___ 5. Edges of the window frame. ___ 10. Location of a chair.
B. Directions: Draw at least one (1) for each geometric element you find inside the classroom and clearly label it with the type of geometric element it represents.
Remediation/ Assignment/ Reinforcement/ Enrichment
"Geometry Scavenger Hunt"
You will find and photograph real-life examples of each geometric concept learned in class and label each photo with the correct geometric notation and write a brief explanation of how each object represents the concept.
Thank you!!!
