SASLED Erasmus+ project

A new 2 year project working to make sports activities more inclusive for children and young people with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties (SLDs).

  • Research on dyslexia and sport
  • Develop training and guidelines to increase awareness and best practice to promote inclusion of dyslexia in sport.

Dyslexia Day

  • Cooperating with our members and other international dyslexia associations to promote October 8 as Dyslexia Day, including seeking official UN ratification of the Day.

Teacher Training

  • Free basics online course which we are updating, originally developed by Dyslexia and Literacy International.

  • Pilot project to upskill teachers in the European Schools on dyslexia and related learning difficulties.

European advocacy

  • Engagement with individuals and agencies at EU level

  • Active membership of the European Disability Forum

  • Dissemination work from our projects also provides great avenues to advocate, e.g. the Brussels Dyslexia at Work event last October.

Reviewing our Definition of Dyslexia
