A Message from Our Founder
6
This is a special moment for me as a founder. It's the opportunity to share our journey and how we're putting the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the heart of how and why we do what we do each day. It means promoting health and well-being, encouraging responsible consumption, and driving innovation, decent work, and economic growth – not just for us in our Hey Honey bubble, but for those around us.
And, of course, in my role as Chief Impact Officer, I'm focused on driving impact through Hey Honey’s mission, vision, and values. This is about aligning our business to purpose, and considering the impact of our practices on all of our stakeholders & consumers.
I'm excited to share this journey with you with the intention hat we can all learn and improve together to build and grow agencies that are passionate about humans, that create with purpose, and are run to benefit all those that are impacted by them – from employees, clients, partners, and consumers.

Our Responsibility
9
At Hey Honey, we believe that agencies have a significant responsibility, as we advise and guide the decisions of brands. Our responsibility extends beyond traditional measures of success. There is an urgent need to address critical global challenges like climate change and social inequality. We believe that our creativity is a powerful catalyst for change, and as a small company, our strength lies in our ability to influence the behavior of the global brands and organizations we work with, driving positive impact at scale. Goals & Principles
12
In this section, we provide transparency into the goals and principles that guide Hey Honey's sustainability journey. We are proud participants in the UN Global Compact, and we actively engage with the Forward Faster initiative. Here, we detail our commitments to human rights, labor standards, environmental stewardship, and anti-corruption.
We wrote a Letter of Commitment to the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres to state our commitment to the UN Global Compact Network

UN Global Compact
13
Hey Honey is committed to aligning our operations and strategies with universally accepted principles. To demonstrate this, we are proud participants in the United Nations Global Compact, a strategic initiative that requires businesses to pledge, through their participation, to align their operations and strategies with its ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. These ten principles provide a framework for our sustainability efforts, guiding us in our pursuit of ethical and sustainable practices.
Derived from key international declarations, these principles mean that, at a minimum, we meet fundamental responsibilities in these areas. We are dedicated to integrating these principles into our core business strategies, culture, and daily operations, understanding that responsible businesses uphold these values wherever they operate and that good practices in one area do not offset harm in another.
By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into our strategies, policies, and procedures, and establishing a culture of integrity, we aim to uphold our basic responsibilities to people and planet and lead in ethical and sustainable business practices.

Human Rights

While the UN Global Compact's Ten Principles might seem more applicable to large, global enterprises, Hey Honey recognises that even as a smaller agency, we have significant influence. We have the power to set benchmarks for ethical conduct and sustainability, which in turn should inspire other agencies and brands to adopt best practices as a standard.
These principles (outlined by the UN Global Compact) aren’t new to us. We already consider them integral to ethical business practice. Our commitment to these values already exists across our operations, such as our terms & conditions of business with clients and agreements with our contractors and full-time employees. To further uphold and transparently showcase our implementation, we've created specific policies and training programmes, especially as we scale and our sphere of influence grows.

Forward Faster
15
Building upon our commitment to the UN Global Compact, Hey Honey understand the urgency of accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are actively engaging with the UN Global Compact's Forward Faster initiative, which calls upon businesses to take ambitious action in key areas critical for achieving the 2030 Agenda. Forward Faster focuses on driving progress in five action areas: Gender Equality, Climate Action, Living Wage, Water Resilience, and Finance & Investment.
While the UN Global Compact's Ten Principles establish a baseline of responsible business conduct, covering fundamental responsibilities, Forward Faster is designed to drive accelerated progress in specific areas that are crucial for achieving the SDGs by 2030. It's about going beyond the basics to achieve change on a faster timeline.
Hey Honey has committed to all 10 of the commitments of Forward Faster.
Gender Equality: This area focuses on achieving gender parity and empowering women in the workplace. Commitments include:
Climate Action: This aims to drive businesses to take decisive steps to mitigate climate change. Commitments involve:
Living Wage: This centers on ensuring fair compensation for workers. Commitments include:
Water Resilience: This addresses the critical issue of water scarcity and sustainable water management. Commitments involve:
Finance & Investment: This focuses on shifting financial flows towards sustainable development. Commitments include:

Our Strategy for Good
20
Here’s how Hey Honey translates its values into actions. We've established a framework to guide our sustainability efforts and maximise our positive impact. This framework consists of two core components:
“By aligning our BeeGood strategy with the UN SDGs, we ensure that our actions contribute to a broader global agenda while remaining tailored to our unique capabilities and business context. The combination of a global framework and local action, forms our strategy.”

Sustainable Development Goals
21
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, also known as the Global Goals, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.
Why are the SDGs important?
Kofi Annan famously said:
“Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance.”
The interconnectedness of SDGs such as gender equality with other critical aspects of development proves that achieving gender equality is not just a separate goal but a foundation for broader progress. A key point to really understand is that while there are many individual goals, they are connected and we can’t achieve one without the other. As secretary-general, Annan reformed the UN bureaucracy, worked to combat HIV/AIDS (especially in Africa) and launched the UN Global Compact

These commitments aim to help further relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each commitment is bound by performance metrics, which are made up of a mix of our own measurable indicators and measurable goals outlined by the Global Compact Forward Faster Initiative across 5 key areas: Gender Equality, Climate Action, Living Wage, Water Resistance and Financing/Investments.
In the following slides, you will see the commitments we have made based on each core pillar and the measurable targets we have set ourselves to achieve those commitments.

Policies are Powerful
24
We understand the crucial role that internal policies play in driving progress towards the SDGs by integrating them into the fabric of our operations. As this overview demonstrates, we have established a significant number of policies specifically designed to support various SDGs, with a strong emphasis on fostering Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and promoting Decent Work and Economic Growth, alongside Reduced Inequalities (SDG 8 and 10).
We also have dedicated policies that contribute to Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), as well as the preservation of our planet's vital ecosystems, both below water and on land (SDGs 14 and 15), and the advancement of Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
These policies serve as a foundation for our 'BeeGood' initiatives, guiding our actions and ensuring accountability.
“Policies, processes and guidelines are an essential foundation for any business who truly wants to make progress in achieving the UN SDGs. They ensure the commitment to the SDGs form part of the core operations, and therefore the back bone, of running the business”

At Hey Honey, we recognise that our people are the heart of our agency and the driving force behind everything we do. Our commitment goes beyond simply providing a workplace. We need to provide and cultivate an environment where the health, wellbeing, and professional growth of every employee are paramount. Just as a thriving beehive depends on the vitality of each bee, our success and our ability to deliver on our commitments, is linked to the strength and happiness of our team.
While we are proud of the initiatives we've implemented to support the wellbeing of our people, we understand that a thriving and supportive environment is an ongoing journey that requires continuous improvement. We are committed to actively seeking feedback and exploring new ways to ensure our team feels valued, supported, and empowered.

The 4 Day Work Week
26
A key commitment of this pillar is to prioritise work-life balance for our team. We believe that happier employees are more productive, and that this benefits not only our work but also contributes to a better community and world
To support this, Hey Honey adopted a four-day work week back in 2022 as we recognised its potential to enhance employee quality of life. This approach aimed to support individual wellbeing but also contributes to a more engaged and motivated workforce.
We took inspiration from this 2022 study – one of the biggest single-country trials in the UK to date involving 73 companies and 3,300 employees, the results were similar – four days’ work for five days’ pay benefitted both employers and workers.
More than nine out of 10 employees who took part in the global trials said they wanted to continue with the four-day week, rating their experience 9.1 out of 10. Measures of employee stress, burnout, fatigue and work/family conflict all declined. At the same time, employees reported improved physical and mental health, work-life balance and increased general life satisfaction. Although some employees were still doing some work on their day off, most felt they were more productive and doing a better job.
"Our fundamental objective for adopting a four-day workweek was to improve our employee’s quality of life through greater work-life balance. The challenge would be to achieve the same output and results in fewer hours.
The benefit of more days off for the team would enable staff to pursue other interests, spend time with friends and family, and have more time to focus on their lives outside of work – all to achieve a better work-life balance”

Hey Honey is committed to minimising its environmental impact and contributing to a sustainable future. To achieve this, we acknowledge the urgency of the climate crisis and are taking decisive action. We monitor our carbon emissions and align with the UN Global Compact's Forward Faster initiative, using its framework for our climate action KPIs, including pursuing science-based net-zero emissions targets and contributing to a just transition. This section outlines our efforts to monitor our CO2 emissions and promote environmental stewardship.
It's important to recognise that given the size of our agency, our direct environmental impact, when compared to larger agencies and organisations, is relatively small. Therefore, while we understand that reducing our own CO2 emissions and the environmental footprint of the agency is key, we believe our most significant contribution to a sustainable future will be in how we rally other agencies and drive change through our partnerships.

GHG Protocol and Emission Scopes
BeeGood
30
Hey Honey's carbon footprint has been calculated in accordance with the GHG Protocol. The GHG Protocol is a globally recognised framework for accounting for and reporting greenhouse gas emissions. It provides standards for companies to measure their emissions consistently and transparently. The GHG Protocol categorizes emissions into three 'scopes': Scope 1: Direct emissions from sources a company owns or controls, such as fuel combustion in company vehicles. Scope 2: Indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, heat, or cooling. Scope 3: All other indirect emissions that occur as a result of a company's activities but from sources not owned or controlled by the company, such as business travel and purchased goods and services.
To calculate our emissions, we used a combination of data collection methods:
It's important to note that due to the nature of our operations and the structure of our supply chain, the average data method was used for a significant portion of our calculations. We are committed to improving our data collection processes to increase the accuracy of our emissions reporting in the future.

The majority of Hey Honey's emissions fall under Scope 3 (96.3%), highlighting business travel as a significant area to address. Within Scope 3, intercontinental flights are the primary contributor (74.5% of total emissions).
It's important to consider that while business travel contributes the most to our total admission, they must be viewed in the context of Hey Honey's size (10 FTEs) and the nature of the creative agency business, which often requires in-person collaboration with clients across regions
Here are the findings of Hey Honey's 2024 Carbon Emission Report, which provides an overview of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the reporting period. The report, prepared by Regreener, helps us measure our impact and identify key areas for reduction, in line with our commitment to sustainability. Hey Honey's total GHG emissions for 2024 were 29.88 tCO2e, with 2.99 tCO2e per full-time employee (FTE). These emissions are categorized into three scopes:

Collaboration is fundamental to Hey Honey's approach, and "Partnerships" forms the third core pillar of our BeeGood strategy.
We understand that achieving our ambitious goals, including the SDGs, requires working alongside all stakeholders from clients, suppliers, NGOs, and industry partners.
To facilitate this shared responsibility, our contracts with client stakeholders includes a clause inviting clients to nominate a UN SDG Designated Person for collaborative SDG planning. This reflects our core values: purpose-driven creativity, a holistic BeeGood approach (People, Planet, Partnerships), and ethical practices guided by the UN Global Compact.
Acknowledging that we cannot effectively pursue every SDG, these partnerships are essential for scaling our impact, allowing us to contribute to a more sustainable and equitable world by furthering goals beyond our immediate operational focus. Ultimately, engaging our stakeholders in our mission and goals, will scale our impact.

While collaboration with diverse stakeholders is fundamental to our approach, client partnerships represent a core strategy for achieving scalability and maximising the impact of our BeeGood efforts. We recognise that we must work collaboratively to influence a wider sphere. Client partnerships provide a powerful way for us to do this, enabling us to:
We need to make sure that this collaborative spirit extends to our client engagements, so we've incorporated a clause into our client contracts that invites the client to nominate a named individual to develop a UN SDG Plan for sharing best practices and maximising impact. By actively engaging our clients in the SDG agenda, we can start to deliver impactful creative solutions and develop shared sense of responsibility his, in turn, allows us to scale our impact far beyond the scope of individual projects.
"A true partnership extends beyond individual projects. It's about driving long-term growth and building enduring relationships. When we prioritise our clients' success, we naturally invest in our own success and expand our capacity to create a more sustainable world. This partnership supports us in our commitment to addressing SDGs 1, 3, 10, 17
Our SDG efforts are amplified through strategic partnerships which extend beyond our work with clients. To further our impact, we actively build relationships with other agencies (enhancing our ability to strengthen client partnerships), environmental organizations and consultants (supporting our internal and client sustainability journey), and non-profit partners (enabling us to deliver campaigns that directly address the SDGs).
Our goal for 2026 is to significantly build out this vital network of partnerships, expanding our reach and collective impact beyond our core client engagements to create a broader ecosystem of SDG support.

From now on, we commit to change. Embedding sustainability and UN SDGs into the work we do for clients and our community. This year, we have made a lot of commitments, embedded UN SDGs into our operations, and become members/participants of organisations to support us in our mission.
Over the next year, we will further this integration across all aspects of our business. Taking this from our operations, through to our work with brands and organisations (clients). With a big focus on the work we do with them and our support of local and SDG-specific initiatives.
