What is Occupational Therapy? (OT)
Occupational therapy is a type of healthcare that helps a person to overcome barriers that are interfering with their ability to do the things that are important to them. Barriers to doing everyday activities may look like:
Self-care Patient is struggling to get dressed and complete hygiene tasks due to depression.
Productivity Difficulties with executive functioning are impacting patient’s performance at school or work.
Leisure Patient is isolated and avoids all previous hobbies due to persistent pain.
