Ansel Adams Biography

Ansel Adams was an American landscape photographer know for his black and white pictures of the American West. He was born on February 20, 1902 in San Francisco, California. He was one of the founders of Group f/64 which was a group of photographers that had a similar way of taking photos. They believed that everything should be in focus when taking a picture hence the name f/64. He believed that nature should be conserved. He invented an image-making process called the Zone System which required a high understanding of how images are exposed and developed. This process created his signature crisp, detailed, and high quality images. He died on April 22, 1984 in Monterey California at the age of 82.

Steve McCurry Biography

Steve McCurry is an American photographer and photojournalist. He was born on April 23, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is most known for his photo of the “Afghan Girl” the has appeared multiple times on the cover of the National Geographic magazine.
Steve McCurry has one numerous amounts of awards during his career including Magazine Photographer of the Year, awarded by the National Press Photographers Association; the Royal Photographic Society's Centenary Medal;[2] and two first-place prizes in the World Press Photo contest (1985 and 1992).

Trey Ratcliff Biography

Trey Ratcliff is an American photographer, public speaker and writer. He was born on July 7, 1971 in Austin, Texas.
He attended Southern Methodist University where he studied Computer Science. He is permanently blind from his left eye ever since birth.
He became most known for his HDR photography. He was the first person to have HDR photography displayed in the Smithsonian Museum following their 4th annual photo contest.
Trey Ratcliff also helped developed Aurora HDR which is a HDR (High Dynamic Range) editing and processing tool released on November of 2015.

Conclusion
In conclusion, I learned how to critique the art of others. While critiquing the professionals I learned how to improve my own art by seeing what they do and what things they don't do in their own artwork.
