born between September 2nd, 2018 to April 2nd, 2019

Kindergarten -

born on or before September 1st, 2018

Child’s proof of birth
Parent/guardian’s proof of address
Parent/guardian’s picture ID
Only if applicable: IEP, guardianship paperwork

How Student Assignment Works: Tiebreakers

�Are “preferences” in the lottery.

Tiebreaker Combinations

All students eligible for multiple tiebreakers will receive multiple tiebreakers. For example, if a student is eligible for Attendance Area tiebreaker and also lives in a Test Score Area (CTIP1), they will receive both tiebreakers.

Random Number�If tiebreakers do not resolve ties, then ties will be resolved by a random number.

The more tiebreakers you have for a specific school, the more likely you are to be matched to that school.

Really Important Notes

If you are applying to 6th grade, and your student is currently an SFUSD 5th grader, you MUST list your middle school feeder middle school to have priority there.
You may not choose between your Round 1 and Round 2 assignments. Round 2 - if you participate - REPLACES your Round 1 assignment.

How do families submit the application?

Choose only ONE method to submit the application:

OR

There are 3 methods to submit your application, please only choose one method. Submitting the SAME application more than once will NOT expedite the process. OLA & email is when our families need your help the most! If scanning is available at your site, please help them scan their documents so they can upload or email to us!!

Pls help your families with the OLA at the best of your ability, it is the most efficient way for them to submit an application to our office.
Parents should only email COMPLETED applications with ALL of the required documents to enrollinschool@sfusd.edu - they will receive an email confirmation from us once our staff verified documents and processed the application. Please discourage them from checking on the status, it only delays our turnaround time. If anything is missing, we will reach out asking for more information.
We now have TWO locations for families to get in touch with us! We are closed every third thursday of the month in the morning until 12:30pm. Please advise families to check our office hours before coming!
