THE FOUNDATION’S MISSION
The SEMI Foundation’s mission is to support economic opportunity for workers and the sustained growth of the microelectronics industry. We accomplish this by clearing pathways for job-seekers and creating tools for semiconductor companies to attract, develop, and retain skilled workforces.
�One essential element of this mission: supporting education and career awareness in the field of high technology. We do so by connecting students, young professionals, and companies—ensuring we positively impact parents and teachers along the way.

The SEMI Career and Apprenticeship Network (SCAN) Arizona
SCAN Arizona is building Registered Apprenticeship Programs and raising the semiconductor and microelectronics industry’s image and awareness across Arizona’s booming “Silicon Desert.” As Arizona invests in becoming a global semiconductor hub, SCAN is playing a crucial role by developing an expanded and skilled future workforce ready to meet the demands of this rapidly growing industry.
