Behavioral Instruction
Expectations are posted throughout the school for the hallway, cafeteria, and restroom. These expectations are taught through direct instruction in the classroom. The school counselor also pulls small groups that need extra support for SEL, as well as whole group counseling sessions weekly. Every classroom has a classroom matrix as well as a school-wide matrix posted. Teachers use this matrix to teach expectations.
Student and Staff Acknowledgement System
Reese Road uses a positive reinforcement system to encourage positive behavior in the classroom and throughout the school. Students receive roadrunner bucks when exhibiting these behaviors. Our roadrunners get the opportunity to visit the roadrunner store to spend their bucks weekly. Teachers and faculty members also receive roadrunner bucks from other teachers and administration. Positive office referrals are also given to administration when students have outstanding behavior. We also use Friday morning shout-outs as a way to recognize student achievement, positive behavior and to shout out teachers and faculty members.

Student/Family/Community Engagement
We involve our families and community members in our behavioral support system. Christ Community Church hosts our SOUL Awards held quarterly. We also encourage our parents to support their student in the house academy. The Edge Church holds monthly meetings for All Pro Dads to encourage positive relationships among our parents and students. We also have several opportunities for our families throughout the year.
Tier II
Teachers have been trained on the requirements for Tier II. Students are identified based on specific behaviors demonstrated and data trends. Staff and students are provided with structured interventions. Our students receive feedback throughout the day and receive next steps to monitor their progress.
