  • Sign up for shifts on Konstella
  • Wear your WCMS blue top (so students/teachers can easily identify you)
  • Wear your district approved badge
  • Arrive with time to park, sign in at desk, review notes, & get comfortable.
  • Request room access from admin team (Hitomi, Amy, Desiree, or Mayra)
  • Check Wi-Fi connections & alert interruptions .

Event Chair

Substitutes: Anabel or Sheila

  • Prints out master eWallet barcodes to provide to classes & volunteers
  • Prints out Scholarship Recipient List & provides copy to cashier
  • Troubleshoots w/Scholastic as needed
  • Requests book restocks
  • Communicates w/parents when concerns arise
  • Monitors landing page and financias remotely, updating totals on a daily basis.
  • Completes store set up and store closure, unpacking or packing inventory w/volunteers.

Store Manager

WCMS Volunteer

  • First one in, last one out
  • Ensures store and all metal carts are OPEN in the AM
  • Ensures store and all metal carts are LOCKEd in the PM
  • Holds copy of master offline barcodes for reference
  • Supervises ins/outs to ensure all students go through checkout OR cashier station
  • Calls support lines as needed -Karla or Scholastic
  • Retrieves/stores keys in admin office

Cashiers

WCMS volunteers

  • Ensures all cashier connections are intact and connected to power
  • Confirms wifi connectivity on the register
  • Issues receipts for ALL transactions to facilitate refunds, returns, etc.
  • Holds copy of master offline eWallet on hand for referencing. This includes the Book Scholarship barcode
  • Holds and updates copy of Scholarship Recipient List
  • Communicates issues/concerns to Store Manager as needed.

Shopping Assistants

WCMS Volunteers

  • Unlock & open metal carts (6) in the AM with Store Manager.
  • Prepares copies of wishlist handout if needed.
  • Assist students in finding their titles and staying within their budget.
  • Assist students in putting together a wishlist for items over their budget.
  • Supervises cashier lines as needed helping students make final selections. Books must be prioritized over school supplies.
  • Assist students with labeling purchases.
  • Close & lock metal carts (6) in the PM with Store Manager.

Reminders

  1. All volunteers must sign in & out at the front desk.
  2. Update Konstella sign ups as soon as you know of a change in your shift.
  3. Get a store manager or event chair if you’re unsure about a step or problem solving with a student.
  4. Keep lines organized; noise to a min.
  5. Chaperone students back to classrooms if needed.
  6. Rain is expected Tu/W so dress in layers.
