Informal Resolution Agreement

The parties discuss resolution options with a neutral third party. They work through the facilitator to reach an agreement that is mutually acceptable.

The facilitator writes the Informal Resolution Agreement that clearly explains the informal resolution terms. Both parties sign Agreement.

Informal Resolution Defined

  • Informal resolution is a voluntary, remedies-based process that provides members of the school community with an option to resolve disputes in a forum that is separate and distinct from the School’s formal grievance processes

  • Any party always has the option to exit the informal process and move to a formal grievance process
