I Saw You, Jonah

و صار قول الرب الى يونان بن امتاي قائلا. قم اذهب الى نينوى المدينة العظيمة و ناد عليها لانه قد صعد شرهم امامي. فقام يونان ليهرب الى ترشيش من وجه الرب فنزل الى يافا و وجد سفينة ذاهبة الى ترشيش فدفع اجرتها و نزل فيها ليذهب معهم الى ترشيش من وجه الرب. (يو 1 : 1 – 3)

Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,. "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me". But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. (Jon 1 : 1 – 3)

رأيتك يا يونان .. هاربًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Fleeing

غلبتك أباطيل كاذبة

Overcome by lying vanities

اخترت غلط وأنت تعلم جيدًا

You chose wrongly, though you knew well

فاقد سلامك .. ورافض العلاج�You had lost your peace… and refused the cure

رأيتك يا يونان .. نائمًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Asleep

فخاف الملاحون و صرخوا كل واحد الى الهه و طرحوا الامتعة التي في السفينة الى البحر ليخففوا عنهم و اما يونان فكان قد نزل الى جوف السفينة و اضطجع و نام نوما ثقيلا. فجاء اليه رئيس النوتية و قال له ما لك نائما قم اصرخ الى الهك عسى ان يفتكر الاله فينا فلا نهلك.

(يو 1 : 5 – 6)

Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that [was] in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep. So the captain came to him, and said to him, "What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish". (Jon 1 : 5 – 6)

وكأن لا رسالة لك

As if you had no Mission

وكأن الموقف لا يعنيك

As if you are indifferent about the situation

وكأن هذا هو ما تريده فعلاً�As if this was truly what you wanted

رأيتك يا يونان .. نائمًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Asleep

رأيتك يا يونان .. بائسًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Miserable

و قال بعضهم لبعض هلم نلقي قرعا لنعرف بسبب من هذه البلية فالقوا قرعا فوقعت القرعة على يونان. فقالوا له اخبرنا بسبب من هذه المصيبة علينا ما هو عملك و من اين اتيت ما هي ارضك و من اي شعب انت. فقال لهم انا عبراني و انا خائف من الرب اله السماء الذي صنع البحر و البر.

And they said to one another, "Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble [has come] upon us" So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. Then they said to him, "Please tell us! For whose cause [is] this trouble upon us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?". So he said to them, "I [am] a Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry [land"].

رأيتك يا يونان .. بائسًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Miserable

فخاف الرجال خوفا عظيما و قالوا له لماذا فعلت هذا فان الرجال عرفوا انه هارب من وجه الرب لانه اخبرهم. فقالوا له ماذا نصنع بك ليسكن البحر عنا لان البحر كان يزداد اضطرابا.

(يو 1 : 7 – 11)

Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, "Why have you done this?" For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. Then they said to him, "What shall we do to you that the sea may be calm for us?" -- for the sea was growing more tempestuous. (Jon 1 : 7 – 11)

رأيتك يا يونان .. بائسًا

I Saw You, Jonah ..Miserable

حتى في يأسك شهدت لي

Yet even in your despair you witnessed to Me

حتى في خجلك كنت محبوبًا ممَن حولك

Even in your shame you were loved by those around you

اخترت موتك وأنا اخترت قيامتك

You chose your Death ,and I chose your resurrection

رأيتك يا يونان .. تائبًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Repentant

فصلى يونان الى الرب الهه من جوف الحوت. و قال دعوت من ضيقي الرب فاستجابني صرخت من جوف الهاوية فسمعت صوتي. لانك طرحتني في العمق في قلب البحار فاحاط بي نهر جازت فوقي جميع تياراتك و لججك. (يو 2 : 1 – 3)

Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish's belly. And he said: "I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me. "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, [And] You heard my voice. For You cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the floods surrounded me; All Your billows and Your waves passed over me. (Jon 2 : 1 – 3)

رأيتك يا يونان .. تائبًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Repentant

نادمًا

Regretful

ممتلئًا رجاء

Full of Hope

معترفًا

Confessing

واثقًا�Confident

فقلت قد طردت من امام عينيك و لكنني اعود انظر الى هيكل قدسك (يون 2 : 4)

Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple' (Jon 2 : 4)

رأيتك يا يونان .. مصلوبًا

I Saw You, Jonah .. Crucified

فقلت قد طردت من امام عينيك و لكنني اعود انظر الى هيكل قدسك. قد اكتنفتني مياه الى النفس احاط بي غمر التف عشب البحر براسي. (يو 2 : 4 – 5)

Then I said, 'I have been cast out of Your sight; Yet I will look again toward Your holy temple'. The waters surrounded me, [even] to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. (Jon 2 : 4 – 5)

رأيتك يا يونان .. مؤثراً

I Saw You, Jonah .. Influential

رجال نينوى سيقومون في الدين مع هذا الجيل و يدينونه لانهم تابوا بمناداة يونان و هوذا اعظم من يونان ههنا (لو 11 : 32)

"The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah [is] here (Luk 11 : 32)

تأثير لم تراه مع شعبك

An impact you never saw among your own people

لم يحدث مع أنبياء آخرين

Never happened with other prophets

صرت لهم سبب خلاص

You became for them a cause of salvation

رأيتك يا يونان .. مؤثراً

رأيتك يا يونان .. تتراجع

I Saw You, Jonah .. Retreating

فغم ذلك يونان غما شديدا فاغتاظ. و صلى الى الرب و قال اه يا رب اليس هذا كلامي اذ كنت بعد في ارضي لذلك بادرت الى الهرب الى ترشيش لاني علمت انك اله رؤوف و رحيم بطيء الغضب و كثير الرحمة و نادم على الشر. فالان يا رب خذ نفسي مني لان موتي خير من حياتي. (يو 4 : 1 – 3)

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the LORD, and said, "Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You [are] a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. "Therefore now, O LORD, please take my life from me, for [it is] better for me to die than to live!". (Jon 4 : 1 – 3)

رأيتك يا يونان .. تتراجع

I Saw You, Jonah .. Retreating

صعبت عليَّ .. بسبب دماغك

My heart went out to you, because of your mindset

أنت تطلب الموت وقد أعطيت حياة لآلاف

You asked for death while you had given life to thousands

أحبك رغم زعلك وغيظك

I love you despite your anger and bitterness

فقال الرب انت شفقت على اليقطينة التي لم تتعب فيها و لا ربيتها التي بنت ليلة كانت و بنت ليلة هلكت. افلا اشفق انا على نينوى المدينة العظيمة التي يوجد فيها اكثر من اثنتي عشرة ربوة من الناس الذين لا يعرفون يمينهم من شمالهم و بهائم كثيرة (يون 4 : 10 - 11)

But the LORD said, "You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. "And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left -- and much livestock?" (Jon 4 : 10 – 11)

رأيتك يا يونان .. تسمعني أخيراً

I Saw You, Jonah .. Finally Listening to Me

كلمتك بالبحر والحوت واليقطينة و الدودة

I spoke to you through the sea, the fish, the plant, and the worm

كلمتك في شعب نينوى ... لكنك لم تكن تسمعني�I spoke to you in the people of Nineveh…�yet you were not listening to Me

رأيتك يا يونان .. تسمعني أخيراً

I Saw You, Jonah .. Finally Listening to Me
