  • Register ETMS
  • Report at SA Championships before 06:45 (or 15min before weigh-in)
  • Dress
    • SA and Opens - SA Blue Golf shirt, Black pants, Blue Jacket for Mat chairman and Judge
    • Club tournaments – Same as SA but Clubs maybe relax. Minimum specifications Wrestling Golf shirt, formal shorts with belt (no PT shorts) and sport shoes.

    • Nat. 2 and Nat. 3 - 1 Official for every 8 entries

Time keeper Rules :

a) Time to appear on mat : 1:30min.

Procedure:

Call wrestler every 30 sec on overhead sound system, indicating his names, Club/Province, Mat, Match number and designated color of singlet. If he does not appear he looses by “Forfeit"

b) Incorrect clothing: 1:00min.

Procedure:

Wrestler has 1:00 to change incorrect clothing and be in center of mat ready to start wrestling. If he does not appear he looses by “Forfeit"

General Rules

Duration of the Bout :

  • LTPD u/6-u/7: Two periods of 1 minute 30 sec. with a 30 sec. Break(no stopping clock)
  • For Youth(u/8-u/17) President Schools : Two periods of 2 minutes with a 30 sec. break
  • For u/20, Seniors and Presidents Junior : Two periods of 3 minutes with 30 sec. break
  • Wrestlers will be allowed to drink water during 30 sec. break!
  • Blood Injury time 4 min
  • Normal Injury time 2 min

Types of Victories –Tie by points

In case of tie in technical points at the end of the bout, the winner will be determined by following criteria :

1- The ( highest ) value of holds

2- The ( least ) amount of cautions

3- The last technical point(s)

Types of Victories- Technical Superiority

  • There are 8 points for GR and 10 points for FS difference between wrestlers.
  • The bout may not be interrupted to declare the winner by technical superiority until the action is completed.
  • Don’t stop if the wrestler is in danger.
  • The bout is stopped by the mat chairman.

    • 1st Passivity Violation : (Confirmation)

Verbal Stimulation

Stop the match for verbal warning “ Attention “ (V)

No Verbal in matches with 2min rounds, immediately P with 30 sec.

    • 2nd Passivity Violation :(Confirmation) (P)

Indicate the 30 second activity period

If any passive wrestler can not score –1 point to the opponent without stopping

  • Further passivity violations (P) can be indicated directly and another 30 sec penalty period will be applied.
  • No 30 second activity period should be called after 2:15 or 5:15, but penalty for fleeing the hold, fleeing the mat or for illegal action can be applied.

Passivity Procedure - Freestyle

  • In case score is 0 – 0 after 2:00 min. referee will stop the bout and officiating team will designate a wrestler as passive and 30 sec. penalty period will be applied for this wrestler.
  • For all 2min rounds obligatory penalty period will be applied at the end of the 1:00 min when the score is 0-0.

Challenge

  • Coach should request for challenge within 10 seconds after decision of refereeing body is posted on the scoreboard.
  • Each wrestler is entitled to one (1) challenge per match. If after reviewing the challenge either the Refereeing Delegate modifies the decision, then the challenge can be used again during the match.
  • If the Refereeing Delegate confirms the decision, the wrestler loses the challenge and his opponent will receive one (1) technical point.
  • The mat chairman shall demand to stop the match to review the challenge as soon as the situation on the mat becomes neutral. Never stop when wrestler is in danger position, unless time runs out or there a risk of an injury.
  • Challenge will not be accepted for penalties of passivity.
