Objetivos (AirBnB)

Project #1

Students will create an authentic ScreenCastify video showcasing housing options for travelers in Spanish-speaking countries.

Students will use research platforms like Airbnb, integrating real-world technology and cross-curricular learning.

Projects will be presented digitally in class and can focus on past, present, or future tense depending on the class level.

PROYECTO #2: PLB Podcast Project

• Podcast projects allow foreign language (FL) learners to have different opportunities to enhance oral communication.
• Podcasting is a research-based practice used in the FL classroom to improve oral communication (Tomé Díez & Richters, 2020).
• Podcasts in audio or video allow learners to gain much cultural insight into the learning process and the integration of technologies into instruction and assessment.

GLOBAL COMPETENCIES

Effective Communication: Students will communicate in Spanish and will improve their understanding of and ability to communicate in the English language by comparing the target language with their own.

Enhanced Cultural Understanding: Students will develop an understanding of the Spanish culture’s contribution to the world and how these contributions are connected to global perspectives.

Expanded Access to Information: Students will connect with other disciplines through language study and practice. In this case students will integrate the language with digital technologies.

PROYECTO #3: Una Tarjeta Postal de mi Viaje a un País Hispano. (Digital postcard)

Las tarjetas digitales permiten fácilmente compartir información comercial, productos y servicios de una manera rápida y sin costo.

OBJETIVOS

1. A través de este proyecto los alumnos serán capaces de enviar saludos desde un país hispano de una manera personalizada, diffrenciada y digitalizada.

2. Los estudiantes crearán su e-postcard usando el sitio web y luego la enviaran al maestro a través de la plataforma digital.

• SIII.7. The student will use Spanish to reinforce and broaden understanding of connections between Spanish and other subject areas.

Project Overview

• Students will create an authentic, differentiated, and personalized video clip to show all topics learned in class.

​

• Through this project students will connect with the real-world integrating technology and connecting the language with other subject areas.

​

• Students will integrate vocabulary and grammar in real and personalized contexts, in this case in writing and presentational speaking mode. Students will present their projects in class through using technology and digital platforms.
