Attendance

  • Excused absence
    • Sick, medical appointment, dental appointment, optometric appointment
    • Personal reasons which cannot be avoided
    • Parents must clear attendance by calling the school
  • Unexcused absence
    • Skipping class, vacation trips during school, car/traffic problems
  • Consequences for absences (per semester, per class)
    • 1, 2, and 3 absences parents are notified. Detention.
    • More than 3 absences = Truancy

Standardized testing: SAT and ACT

  • Most colleges will take both
  • PSAT/NMSQT- for 10th & 11th grades, Oct. 17th on campus
    • Register online through Total Registration and the exam is $35
    • Payment must be received by September 27th
