Changes in Measures of Dementia Awareness in UK Church Congregations Following a ‘Dementia-Friendly’ Intervention: A Pre–Post Cohort Study. Religions, 11(7), Article 7. https://doi.org/10.3390/rel1107033

Summary: The Dementia Friendly Church program (DFCh), a variation of the Dementia Friendly Community program, has been implemented in various dioceses throughout the UK. The church setting was selected because it is an existing part of the social structure of most communities, particularly rural communities, the church community is involved in supporting the family and individuals with dementia, knows the family support system, and tends to be stable over periods of time.

Notes: How can this be applied to our delivery method? How are our sites and presentations selected? Are we going through churches in rural areas? The US lacks a centralized church, is a state church necessary to push this information into the community?
