What are we collecting?

New PEIMS Attendance Submission collects attendance and special student population data relevant to the Summary of Finance report, five times during the school year, once for each of the first five six weeks reporting periods. In addition, during the PEIMS Summer Submission, TEA will collect attendance data for the entire school year, which includes:

​

  • A recollection of the first five six weeks periods to allow LEAs to review and correct any previously submitted data.
  • The collection of attendance for the sixth six weeks period.

​

In the 2025-2026 school year, TEA will collect the first through third six weeks attendance data no later than January 2026.
