“Vaping”

  • Vaping is the act of inhaling and exhaling the aerosol, often referred to as vapor, which is produced by an electronic smoking device. The term is used because electronic smoking devices do not produce tobacco smoke, but rather an aerosol.
  • Generally a vaping device consists of a mouthpiece, a battery, a cartridge for containing the e-liquid or e-juice, and a heating component for the device that is powered by a battery.

Popular Trends

Edibles = Edibles are food products infused with marijuana/THC oil. Though smoking marijuana is the most prevalent method of consumption, eating marijuana is quickly becoming a popular way to consume the drug.

  • THC Candies - Cannabis infused candies (Gummies are very popular)
  • Baked goods are among the most common food products infused with marijuana, however, almost any food product may be infused with marijuana and eaten.

Most popular way to produce edibles is using THC oil.

Edibles That Contain THC

These packages look very similar to candy products that are out on the market. It is crucial that everyone checks all packages before allowing anyone to consume them. There are warnings on the actual “Edible Candy” products that state:

Difference Between THC and CBD?

Many people often question “What is the difference between THC and CBD?”

THC:

  • Has the psychoactive effect on the brain “causing the high or euphoria”
  • We have two types of cannabinoid receptors in our bodies. THC binds with receptors -- mostly in the brain -- that control pain, mood, and other feelings. That's why THC can make you feel euphoric and give you that so-called “high”
  • Typically sourced from marijuana

CBD:

  • Has non-psychoactive effects on the brain - does not cause a “high”
  • Typically sourced from hemp
