Objective 1: Platform for Networking

A platform for networking Catholic charitable institutions and personalities from science and public life has been established.

Indicator

In each diocese a coordination team has been established that coordinates various local social service providers, if possible, with the involvement of young people.

Objective 2: Vision and Strategy

A baseline for a vision and strategy for the charitable service of the Catholic Churches has been prepared.

Indicator

Per self-governing region and per thematic focus of the joint strategy, a common project of different Catholic social institutions has been developed in collaboration with the regional self-governing authority.

Consulting and Hands-on Support

Support to stakeholder management and organisatonal development for the Platform on Social Sevices:

Facilitation of the cross-secotral communication in meetings and conferences (neutral position)
Regular meetings with the coordination teams in the regions
Hand-on support forbaseline description and monitoring processes
Offering expertise and methodology on planning regional projects
Hand-on support to formulate the vision and cornerstones of the joint strategy
Promotion of organisational development of the platform
and at best to support on formulating its Statute

Synodal Working

Synodal working is a collaborative working method based on synodality – walking together as a Church community. It emphasizes shared responsibility, dialogue, and collective discernment in decision-making processes.

This approach integrates diverse perspectives from clergy, lay members, and experts to develop solutions that reflect the needs and wisdom of the entire community.

Working Spirit of a Synod in our project

Our project embodies synodal working by establishing coordination teams in each diocese that bring together Catholic institutions, young people, and regional authorities to collaboratively develop and implement charitable services.

This ensures that social services reflect the collective wisdom of the Church community and respond effectively to the needs of those in need.
