IEP Section 6 has two parts: Section 6a - Present Levels (PLAAFP) and Section 6b - Goals and Objectives. In Focus, parts of Section 6a trigger parts of Section 6b; for each Area of Concern on 6a, a corresponding section for goals and objectives will be triggered and will require completion.

Section 6a: Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance

Indicating “Yes” will place that specific Area of Concern in the Goals and Objectives dropdown.

Complete each section of the PLAAFP. Indicate “Yes” or “No” to all required questions. For any “Yes” answer, include information for Progress Monitoring, Interventions/Accommodations, Baseline Data, Assessment Data, and Effect on Access to General Curriculum.

Goals and Objectives: Click Create Goal button and complete Goal Details

Section 6b: Goals and Objectives

Section 6b is triggered based on responses in Section 6a. A “Yes” in any of the four sections of 6a will trigger a required response in Section 6b: Goals and Objectives.

Complete all required fields.

Click Add to add objectives. Complete Objective Details pop up.
