What are we working with today?

SWIVL: a robotic video capture system

SCREENCASTIFY: a Google Chrome add-on for recording your screen (if you have a Mac, you can use QuickTime, which serves the same purpose and comes with your install package)

GREENSCREEN: a method for creating VR and AR videos; we will use the app DoInk for iPad

Screencastify Instructions

Greenscreen (DoInk) Instructions

  1. Open app titled “Green Screen”
  2. Tap the plus sign in the top right corner
  3. Tap “Create a New Project”
  4. You’re going to want to find a picture to use as your background. Feel free to use google images and once you find the perfect photo, tap it and hold it to save it to the iPad
  5. Go back to the app and tap the plus sign on the bottom right corner
  6. Tap “Image” and tap “Recently Added”
  7. Select your image
  8. Now you are ready to record. Tap the plus sign in the middle at the bottom right corner and tap “Camera” at the bottom right corner.
  9. Point the iPad at the green screen and you should see your image on the screen
  10. Have fun and record your video!
