HOPSCOTCH
How do you play hopscotch?
You must first draw a hopscotch court. Typically, a hopscotch court is drawn outside on the sidewalk using chalk. The court consists of different boxes with different numbers.
The first player stands behind the “starting line” and tosses their marker in square 1.
The player must hop over square 1 to square 2 and then continue hopping to square 8, turn around, and hop back again.
On the way back, you must pick up your marker.
Next, you continue by tossing your marker in square 2 and follow the same rules.

JUMP ROPE
How do you play jump rope?
Jump rope can be played individually or with multiple players.
There are a variety of games you can play.
For example, individually, you can count how many jumps you can complete without having to stop.
If you have a group of people, two people can twirl each end of the jump rope and different players can jump in at different times. You can try to get as many people as you can to complete several jumps.
Some people are very skillful with jump rope and can perform different tricks, like twirls and spins.

TAG
How do you play tag?
First, you must decide which player is going to be “it”.
The player who is “it” must run after the other plays and “tag” them (touching the other players with their hand).
If the player who is “it” tags you, you become the “it” player.
Tag can be played with 2 or more players.

HULA HOOP
How do you play hula hoop?
A hula hoop is a circular ring. Players must put the hula hoop around their bodies and move their bodies in a circular motion to keep the hula hoop off the ground.
Once the hula hoop touches the ground, you are eliminated from the game.
You can use a stopwatch to see how long a player can keep the hula hoop in motion and have competitions.
Hula hoop can be played with 1 or more players.

DUCK, DUCK, GOOSE
How do you play duck, duck, goose?
All players must sit in a circle.
One player walks around the circle, tapping each player on the head saying “duck” to each player.
Whenever the player wants, they may tap a player of their choice and say “goose”!
The “goose” must stand up and chase the other player.
The player must sit where the “goose” was sitting before being tagged.
The game continues with the “goose” following the same rules.
Duck, duck, goose must be played in a group.

HIDE-AND-GO-SEEK
How do you play hide-and-go-seek?
One player is the “seeker” and closes their eyes and counts to 100.
The other players must go and hide.
The first player, after counting to 100, opens their eyes and must find the other players.
The first player who is found becomes the “seeker” who must count in the next round.
The last player who is found is the winner of that round.
Hide-and-go-seek can be played with 2 or more players.

TUG OF WAR
How do you play tug of war?
Tug of war is played with two teams and one rope.
The rope must have a marker in the center of the rope.
All players must grab the rope with both hands and when the time begins, they must “tug” the rope using the strength of their team members.
The objective of the game is to pull the rope to their side so the marker crosses over to their side.
The team who pulls the center of the rope over to their side wins.
Tug of war must be played in a group.

MUSICAL CHAIRS
How do you play musical chairs?
First, you must put chairs in the form of a circle. You must use one less chair than the number of players. For example, if there are 8 players, you must put 7 chairs in a circle.
Someone must play music. When the music is playing, the players must walk in a circle around the perimeter of the chairs.
When the music stops, all the players must immediately sit in a chair.
The player who is left standing without a chair is eliminated and must remove their chair from the circle.
The game continues with the same rules until there is only one player left.
Musical chairs must be played in a group.

MARCO POLO
How do you play Marco Polo?
Marco Polo is typically played in a swimming pool. It is similar to the game “tag”.
One player is chosen to be “it”. The player who is “it” must swim around with their eyes closed trying to “tag” the other players.
The player who is “it” must call out “Marco!” and the other players must respond “Polo!” to help the player detect where they are in the water.
The player who is tagged becomes “it”.
Special rule: If the player who is “it” believes another player is out of the water, they can call out “fish out of water!” If a player is out of the water when they call out, that player automatically becomes “it”.
