The resolution gives civil society a consensus mandate — agreed by all Parties — to press on each of those.��The guide walks through six steps: pick the operative paragraphs that match your country's risk profile; map which agencies actually hold the powers — FIUs, licensing authorities, environmental regulators, not just the anti-corruption commission; advocate to get commitments into national strategies and legislation; press for protection of reporting persons under OP 6; offer expertise and model provisions, including through UNODC's field offices and regional hubs; and build a national baseline you maintain over time, which becomes the basis for parallel reports.

Working Group on Prevention, May 2027 (OP 16) — an agenda item on environmental crime and corruption: advocate to participate on a panel, as part of a government delegation and to contribute submissions

Donor funding for implementation (OP 19) — press for resourcing, and for transparency on technical assistance, project partners, outcomes of implementation

But a unified civil society voice multiplies the impact of what any one of us can achieve.��The ECC Working Group is chaired by the Wildlife Justice Commission and brings together nearly 280 representatives of CSOs worldwide, along with academics, activists, development agencies and UN officials.��It organizes side events on the margins of the UNCAC Working Groups and related processes; it aggregates national experience into joint submissions so findings aren't scattered and overlooked; it produces a consolidated civil society submission ahead of each CoSP; and it coordinates joint research — because comparative evidence about who is doing what, and what works, is far more persuasive to governments than any single national report.��If you are working on this nationally, we'd encourage you to join.
