~800,000 people live in Seattle – plus tourists

~200 first responders on duty at a time (police, fire fighters, ambulance personnel)

Very few of them live in Seattle

    • Coordinate big purchases (i.e. water)
    • Turn off gas to prevent fires
    • Turn off water
    • Combine resources and brains
    • Check on those needing extra care (elderly, injured, children, etc.)
    • First aid station
    • Communal meals!
    • Communication station (monitor radios...)
    • Clean up together
