Steps to High School Selection

  1. All 8th grade students must select a high school in the AERIES PARENT portal

during the selection window,

January 26, 2024 at 8:00AM-February 15, 2024 at 4pm

  • The high school selection link appears in the AERIES parent accounts between January 26 - February 15 (refer to image). *Once high school is selected, it will show as “pending”.

  • The high school options are:

    • Canyon Crest Academy (CCA)
    • La Costa Canyon (LCC)
    • San Dieguito High School Academy (SDA)
    • Torrey Pines High School (TP)
  1. Be sure to do your own research about what school is the right fit for YOU; review & investigate school websites for academic, club and school culture information before making a selection!

After you have selected your high school

in AERIES…

  1. Once the selection window closes on February 15, your parent/guardian will receive an email notification from the HIGH SCHOOL you will be attending; If you are interested in OLP for next year, please complete the high school and course selection process as we’ve described. More information will be shared after registration nights about how to select OLP.
  2. Be sure to note on your calendar your high school’s assigned Information Nights & events:
    • Canyon Crest Academy- Tuesday January 24, 2024 @ 5:30pm
    • La Costa Canyon High School- Tuesday, January 24, 2024 @ 5:30pm
    • San Dieguito HS Academy- January 31st- @5:30
    • Torrey Pines High School- February 1- virtual

Each school will have a Welcome Night and Registration/ Course Selection Nights. This will be included in your welcome email after the high school selection window has closed.

  • Be sure to follow the guidelines and deadlines for Course Selection that are given to you.

  • Attend Incoming Student Welcome Night- March 6 or 7 and Incoming Student Registration Night (return high school course selection) when you can meet with HS Staff to review your requests the week of March 11.
