* We will continue to go outside for recess even when it is cold! Be sure to check the weather and send cold weather outerwear for your students - including hats or gloves, if they can keep up with them.

Math: We will learn about composite shapes using multiple 2D shapes as well as an introduction to 3D shapes.
Homework: workbook pgs. 647-648
Reading: We will continue looking at fiction and nonfiction texts and focus on a skill that is specific to the genre.
Writing: We will learn about writing a persuasive letter to someone.
Word Study: We will continue to work on words with the controlled R using /er/, /ur/, and /ir/. Our spelling will include words like verb, fern, hurt, curl, work.
Social Studies: We will begin our economics unit by learning about wants/needs and goods/services.
