Step 1: Reframe the problems in light of Jesus' involvement.

  1. Take the Lament and Challenge (How Might We) statement.
    1. Take a moment to pray.
    2. How does Jesus presence and relationship with you affect the way we might approach these?
    3. How might faith increase our expectations and understanding of the potential outcomes?
    4. Recreate the statements in light of this.

Step 2: Ideate a mass of solutions

  1. Think of solutions to the How Might We / How Might Jesus statements.
  2. Write each one on a sticky note until the time is up.
  3. No critique, no comments! Quantity over quality.

  1. You get three votes each.
  2. Silently, and without discussion, mark three dots on solutions
  3. Vote for solutions that you think will result in the highest relational potential over the longest period of time.

Step 4: Discern What to Build

  1. Here you will place the highest-voted solutions (based on the How Might Jesus Statements) on the relationship/time Scale.
  2. Together, quickly assess the relational potential of the solution. Does it move you closer to your beneficiaries?
  3. Then assess the potential longevity (time) impact of this action.
  4. Place the sticky note in the agreed relationship and time scale.
  5. Repeat for other top-voted solutions.
  6. You have 8 minutes for this exercise.
