Realities

Open Contracting is still Nascent

Across the demand-side, there is still little knowledge of Open Contracting especially at the subnational level

There is Impact

It may be slow and often unsteady, but there is impact - Micro, Meso and Macro-level impact.

Capacity building is still required

Even when there is awareness, stakeholders don’t know how to interact with the data or what to do with it.

Citizen engagement is critical for advancing Open Contracting Advocacy

Open Contracting is one of the ways to deliver democracy outcomes quicker, to the people who need it the most, and it requires sustained support.
