THINGS TO HELP YOU HAVE A SUCCESSFUL MEETING

  • Have a slide deck (something to focus on)
  • Photos are good; not too much video
  • Learn and use everyone’s name
  • Try to involve every Scout at least once each meeting (but keep it short, especially for large dens)
  • Consider using breakouts
  • Be careful with contests (too much focus on winning and losing)
  • Stop while it’s still fun
  • Use functions like mute video, mute audio, spotlight

ASK DEN LEADERS FOR HELP IF...

  • Serious emotional reaction
  • Problems with technology
  • If you have to, don’t be afraid to stop the meeting…“Sorry guys, we can’t seem to figure this out so let’s just say the Scout Law and we’ll continue next time”
