THE ROLE OF THE PARTNERSHIP & THE PACIFIC HUB

The NDC Partnership is a global network of over 250 members (countries and development partners). The Support Unit of the NDC Partnership plays the role of a neutral broker – matchmaking requests for support with resources available throughout our network.

Regional Pacific NDC Hub

By working in close collaboration through the Hub Coordination Group, partners share information on country requests and discuss potential response options. The NDC Partnership supports coordination, information sharing, and provides additionality & scalability to the work of the Hub.

The partnership is a Global network with a broad membership base, acting as a neutral broker to matchmake country requests with support available through our membership.

The Hub is by the “Pacific and for the Pacific” – receiving funding from development partners (such as Australia, EU, New Zealand and the UK) to respond to country requests through its three implementing partners SPC, SPREP and GGGI.

We work in close collaboration through our Pacific-based staff and through the Hub Coordination Group to share information and mobilize resourcing accordingly.

Drawing your attention to the last sentence here – the NDC Partnership provides an opportunity to leverage a broad membership base; and mobilize resources and technical assistance from a large network (including several partners who do not have a presence in the Pacific region.)

NDC Partnership is a key collaborating partner for the Hub. NDC Partnership provides crucial intelligence to the Hub on countries' support needs, particularly NDC-related. We also jointly organize capacity-building events, such as NDC Clinics.
