Bonjour! I am a bilingual Spanish and Catalan speaker from Barcelona. I have been a world language teacher for more than 15 years now and have both secondary and college teaching experience abroad and in the United States. I started studying French in elementary school and continued all the way through college. I have a strong connection with French culture, having spent long periods of time in France and through friendships with French native speakers. I have an MA in Language and Literature teaching from the University of Barcelona. I have attended the AP College Board Summer Institute in 2019 and in 2021.

Communicative approach
Drawing from research-supported methods and the CAS Colorado Academic Standards, I follow the communicative approach. Meaningful communication supports language learning and classroom activities will focus on the learner’s authentic needs to communicate information and ideas. This will allow students to acquire the language in a process that more closely mirrors that of first language acquisition, resulting in increased student confidence and success.
