Funding opportunity overview

• 2022 Special NOFO to address rural and unsheltered homelessness
• Boston is eligible for $16.5M over 3 years
• Boston is requesting proposals for new housing and services programs to address unsheltered homelessness to be included in a single Citywide application to HUD
• Eligible applicants
• Nonprofits including faith-based organizations
• Units of local government (BPHC, etc)

RFP timeline and application process

Your proposals:

• Submitted through the City’s Supplier Portal
• HUD new project application and additional narrative responses

• Rapid Rehousing (RRH)
• Joint Transitional Housing–Rapid Rehousing (Joint TH-RRH)
• Three types of Supportive Services Only grants
• SSO - Coordinated Entry
• SSO - Street Outreach

• 3-year grants

How we’ll choose

• Minimum criteria and HUD threshold review
• Proposals reviewed and scored based on factors like applicant experience serving the population, consistency w/ HUD priorities, leveraged resources, project addressing an unmet need
• Project ranking & prioritization - required by HUD; working on developing; collaborative process w/ CoC approval
