What is Accelerated Career?

Georgia’s Accelerated Career Diploma Program requires students to successfully complete nine required high school courses along with specific technical college credential programs. The Accelerated Career Diploma Program requires three EOC tests including Algebra I, Biology and Lit Comp II.

Participating students earn a high school diploma AND two technical college certificates, a technical college diploma, complete a program leading to licensure OR an associate degree (Associate of Applied Science). After high school graduation in an Accelerated Career Diploma Program, students may be funded by HOPE Grant toward completion of an associate degree.

Courses for Georgia’s Accelerated Career Diploma Program students are funded by the Accelerated Career Education (ACE) Grants which simplifies the one funding source needed to for program completion.
