The first field interoperability test

In September 2021, the MDLP project team in collaboration with the STERNA project team, held a field interoperability test, using two Brazilian navy vessels following the network architecture shown in Figure 1.

About the protocol
Figure 2 presents the comparison between old and the new MDLP protocol data units. A data unit containing only the information of a single track will be reduced from seventy-eight bytes to twenty-nine bytes in its new encoding, which represents a size reduction of about 63%.

Intel I5, Arm M1 and Arm 53 can be used!
Processors and energy saving is better than performance on legacy materiel. Arm processors can be useful for MDLP.
