What is a FAC?

• Facilitation of efficient and orderly student-parent reunification
• Provide families with timely information
• Emotional support
• Referrals to support services

Objectives:

• Provide accurate/timely information to student’s family or their legal representatives regarding incident.
• Facilitate an orderly, efficient, and humane family reunification.
• Provide emotional support and mental health first aid care services to students.
• Facilitate the referral of additional health and social services based on the type of incident and available resources.
• Establish a secure and appropriate facility that allows agencies to interact sensitively and effectively with students and their parents.

Parent Check In & Student Release

PARENT CHECK-IN

Parents (or authorized adult) will come to the table at Gate 4 by the LC Gym with identification will be verified, and parents will be given their child(ren)’s emergency cards.

STUDENT RELEASE

Parents will meet their child(ren) at Gate 5 (Boys & Girls Club side) and drop off the emergency card with school staff. This will allow staff to know who has been picked up and who is still at school.

Staff will radio to have students brought to release area (Back Gate near gym)
