Burkitt Lymphoma

On October 26, 2023, Luca was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer with only about 1,500 cases reported annually. He underwent six intensive rounds of chemotherapy, each requiring hospitalization and treatment with five different drugs, as well as spinal taps with intrathecal chemotherapy. Through it all, Luca remained resilient. He shared, “Cancer is a huge challenge, but I encourage everyone to take it day by day and find the good in every scenario.” He also expressed deep gratitude for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, noting, “LLS research helped find a cure for my rare cancer.”
