EU Work Plans for Culture 2015-2018 and 2019-2022 put cultural statistics as a horizontal priority

      • regular production and dissemination of comparable data related to culture (Dedicated section 'Culture' on Eurostat website, 'Culture' domain in Eurobase, several 'Statistics explained' articles; publication every 3 years);
      • development of methodology for a better measurement of culture; in collaboration with the MS ('Culture statistics' WG) and UNESCO; methodological 'Guide to Eurostat culture statistics' published in December2018
