Why Did I Apply?

  • I was interested in being a doctor/be in healthcare in the future, but I didn’t know what a day in the life looked like, or what exactly I needed to do or know to get there

  • I wanted to see if I would truly enjoy being a doctor, and if I should commit the next 7-8 years of my life in a BS/MD program or as a pre-med to become one

What Would I Do Differently?

WARNING: There was no reliable cheap food near Mount Sinai. The hospital cafeteria food is gross and overpriced. To save more money, I should’ve brought more food from home (I’m a picky eater)

How Did This Experience Shape Me?

Future Goals

College Plans

Doing this internship confirmed to me that I definitely would enjoy being a doctor, and has taught me the steps I need to take to become one

Originally, I wanted to be a biology or neuroscience major, but not after this internship. I realized that I want to have elements of public health in my college education
