To create a more robust, function, and effective Student Association Leadership structure that can help the SA fulfill its Mission Statement.

Audit Timeline

Fall - Data Collection

  • Collect list of all current positions
  • Engage all membership groups using designed question framework
  • Get student body input

Winter Break + Early Spring - Synthesis and Decision Making

  • Synthesize data and produce a final presentation
  • Collaborate with SA Leadership to craft bylaws and constitutional changes
  • Find ways to fill policy gaps

Audit Process

  • Interview people in their roles about satisfaction in role, abilities to make changes, support structures, etc
  • Review peer institutions to compare structures
  • Talk with campus about ways in which the SA could better engage
  • After data collection: critically examine all roles to build a better + more functioning SA

Audit Outcomes

  • Senate Presentations on audit findings
  • Series of Bylaws and Constitutional Amendments (if needed)
    • Based on the final recommendations of the audit being discussed by the President and Executive Team
    • Can be consolidated as a package of changes
  • Thresher Coverage (transparency to campus)
  • More faith in the SA as a whole from both internal and external members

  • Legislation to be presented next week chartering a Temporary Committee to lead the audit
  • Discussions will start being held once the group is formed
