Reading | In Into Reading, we are finishing Module 7, and beginning Module 8. In Module 8– A New Home. The Essential question is “How do people adapt to new experience and make a new place home?” Reading skills- we focus on Text Structure, Visualize, Figurative Language, Elements of poetry, Author’s Craft and Making Inferences. In Writing we will work on following the Rubric to complete “Write a Response” and “Performance task”. |
Math | In Math, We will be learning about Mathematical Expressions and classifying quadrilaterals and triangles, and we will continue test Preparation. Later in the month we will be starting measurement.

Science | In science, we are preparing students for the 5th grade New York State Science Exam, and we will continue to work on investigations and experiments in preparation. |
Social Studies | In Social Studies , We will be exploring Canada, the largest country in the Western Hemisphere |
Social Emotional Learning |
We will continue to focus on Social Awareness by discussing given questions after reading each text in Module 8.
